A guide to sources relating to the perfume industry from 1850 to the present day
The Bibliothèque nationale de France and the Per Fumum Endowment Fund have joined forces to launch a partnership aimed at highlighting the Library’s transdisciplinary collections relating to the history of perfume and its reception. A postdoctoral fellowship has been set up for 2023-2024. This has enabled the collections on olfaction and perfumery from the beginning of the 19th century to the present day to be inventoried, catalogued and indexed among the BnF’s 40 million documents.
This includes documents such as manuscripts, photographs, maps and plans, prints, objects and videos.
You can now find the source guide on the BnF website, the HAL and in our Per Fumum virtual library.
