He was born in Paris in 1955. His mother, father and grandfather worked for Roure. Even if the world of perfume is familiar to him, he prefers the rigours of the physical science that he studies, until the day when a course in chromatography leads him back to Roure.
Encouraged by its president, Jean Amic, as well as perfumers Jean-Louis Sieuzac and Pierre Bourdon, he joined the school of perfumery of the company for which he worked. In 1984, at only 27 years old, he created the opulent and now classic Ysatis de Givenchy. A brilliant career: he then worked for Florasynth, Dragoco and IFF, which he joined in 2000.
Aesthete, refined, demanding, perfectionist and humble, both manual and technical, he approaches his craft as craftsman and scientist. An impressive “perfumery”: Amarige de Givenchy (1991), Amor Amor de Cacharel (2003), Alien by Thierry Mugler (2005), La vie est belle de Lancôme (2012), Invictus by Paco Rabanne (2013) or even for Éditions de Parfums Frédéric Malle: Carnal Flower (2005), Geranium pour Monsieur (2009), Portrait of a lady (2010), Cologne indelible (2015)…
