Vintage 2024 campaign, Sources Guide, Paris Perfume Week: the latest news from the Per Fumum Endowment Fund
The campaign to collect applications for support for the 2024 vintage ended on 31 March. A dozen of projects were received. April will be devoted to analysing the applications, which will then be presented to and decided by the selection committees. The results will be announced in June.
A few days ago on 21st of March, Stéphanie Prinet Morou, Executive Director of the Per Fumum Endowment Fund, presented the fund and its missions at Paris Perfume Week, held at the Bastille Design Center. It was an opportunity to talk about the contribution our current projects are making to the knowledge of professionals and students in the perfume industry, as well as to the intangible heritage of perfumery; and to announce the publication of the Guide to sources relating to perfumery from 1850 to the present day.
This guide to sources on perfume is a first. It is the result of a long and rigorous exploration of the holdings of the collections departments of the Bibliothèque nationale de France. Numerous documents relating to perfume, such as manuscripts, photographs, maps and plans, printed documents, prints, objects and videos, have been identified and grouped by theme and are now accessible!
The source guide joins our reference works on perfumery in our virtual library on our website. It is also available on the BnF and CNRS HAL websites.
This month was the Meeting-Restitution Day. For the occasion, the BnF welcomed the leaders of the fund’s current projects on Thursday, April 4 for a day to review the actions carried out.
The interest of this annual meeting is to create the exchange conducive to transdisciplinarity and open new avenues of exploration for the future.
